Launching a website without checking these items is like opening a shop without a sign, price tags, or a door that opens. Run through this checklist before you go live.
Technical Checks
- ☐ SSL certificate installed and working (https:// shows green padlock)
- ☐ Site loads in under 3 seconds on mobile data
- ☐ All pages tested on iPhone and Android
- ☐ All internal links working (no 404 errors)
- ☐ Contact form tested and receives emails
- ☐ Google Analytics installed and tracking
- ☐ Google Search Console set up and sitemap submitted
- ☐ Favicon shows in browser tab
Content Checks
- ☐ Every page has a unique title and meta description
- ☐ No placeholder text ("Lorem ipsum") remaining
- ☐ Phone number and email on every page
- ☐ WhatsApp button links to correct number
- ☐ All images have descriptive alt text
- ☐ Business address and location map correct
