How to cancel your Hostiko hosting account

No-hassle cancellation flow — refunds within the 7-day window, account transfer otherwise.

If Hostiko isn't right for you, we'd rather understand why and try to help — but if you want to leave, here's the process.

Within the first 7 days (full refund)

  1. Open a support ticket with subject "Refund + cancellation request".
  2. Tell us briefly why (optional — for our improvement).
  3. We confirm eligibility within 1 business day.
  4. Refund to your original payment method within 3-5 business days.

After 7 days

No cash refund, but you have options:

  • Don't renew. Your service runs until the paid-up date, then stops. We send 3 renewal reminders before it ends.
  • Transfer the remaining time to a different Hostiko service (web design, M-Pesa integration, SSL, etc.) — open a ticket.
  • Transfer to a friend/NGO/church — one transfer per account, requires both parties to confirm.

Domain ownership

Even if you cancel hosting, your domain stays yours until its expiry date. You can:

  • Transfer it to another registrar (we'll provide the EPP/auth code).
  • Park it until you need it again.
  • Renew it through us even without active hosting.

Before you go

If there's a specific problem, let support know. We've resolved most issues in under 24 hours when given the chance — much faster than re-migrating to another host.
